Youngsters can get set for hours of Halloween fun this Thursday in Jefferson.
The fun begins at a come-and-go Halloween party hosted by the Jefferson park and recreation department at the Greene County Community Center from 4 to 5 pm. The party is for toddlers through fifth grade and will feature games, crafts and prizes. There is no charge. Pre-registrations are requested to make the party run more smoothly, but are not required.
Members of the Greene County Chamber will host Trick-or-Treat Around the Square from 5 to 6 pm. There will be plenty of treats for all, and some merchants even have special items for parents.
The Jefferson public library has selected Mo Willems’ book “That is NOT a Good Idea!” as its theme this year. Families of all ages are invited to the free come-and-go event from 5 to 7 pm.
The annual Halloween event is jointly sponsored by JPRD, Greene County Chamber, and the Jefferson public library.
